Where to find Shadowmere in Oblivion Remastered

There are plenty of mounts available in Oblivion Remastered, but Shadowmere is arguably one of the best ones you can find in the game. This mount features one of the best horses you can unlock, but the task isn't easy. Finding her is a challenge in itself, and then begins the job of adding her to your collection of mounts. Thankfully, the entire process is the same in the Remastered version as it was in the 2006 release. How to find Shadowmere in Oblivion Remastered While some mounts are harder to find, Shadowmere is part of a quest. She's part of The Purification quest, which falls under the Dark Brotherhood questline. You can complete this quest after finishing all the required contract quests from Lucien and Ocheeva. This process is pretty straightforward, but it takes a fair bit of time. Once you proceed enough along the quest line, you'll have the chance to obtain Shadowmere. What to do if she escapes? The mount has a history of disappearing, and this includes your stables. In such cases, go to Fort Farragut, which is located east of Cheydenhal. Screenshot by Destructoid If she has armor, a known bug prevents us from reaching Fort Farragut, one that has been inherited from the OG version. If you have done the same, Shadowmere will be where you left her. You can always use console commands to reach or respawn her. This will disable any achievements on your playthrough, so be careful. What happens if Shadowmere dies? This can happen if she gets stuck in a conflict, which has also happened on my save. Don't worry, you'll only have to wait ten in-game days for Shadowmere to appear again. Once she does, you should be able to find her at Fort Farragut once more.
