Where to find the Sarcophagus Key in Avowed

The Sarcophagus Key opens a locked coffin hidden in the Garden area of Avowed.

As you’re exploring the Garden, you may come across the sarcophagus with the key nowhere in sight, or find the key and wonder where the sarcophagus is located. Regardless of the order you find them in, there is legendary loot that is waiting to be grabbed inside that sarcophagus, and you have to open it!

Here’s where to find the Sarcophagus Key and sarcophagus in the Garden.

Where to find the Sarcophagus in Avowed

The Sarcophagus can be found in a diamond shaped room located southwest of the Enclosed Grove Camp. From the party camp, head through the large double doors to enter a room with a large pillar and a winding staircase. At the bottom of the stairs, next to a pool of shallow water, you’ll find a divot in the wall that contains the Sarcophagus.

Where to find the Sarcophagus Key in Avowed

The Sarcophagus Key is found on a corpse on the path to the Strangled Adra in the Garden.

To reach the key from the Sarcophagus’ room, continue along in the main story until you reach door blocked by Maegfolc and essence generators. Once you’re inside, enter the room on your right and take down the incoming skeletons and spiders. After they’ve been defeated, a door will open on the other side of the room revealing a pool of water.

Dive into the water to find two paths, but make sure to follow the path on the left. Surface onto the climbable terrain along the left wall to find an opening blocked by burnable vines across from you. Burn the vines and freeze the water below you to create a frozen pathway towards the opening.

Shortly after going through the opening, you’ll find a corpse on the ground that contains the Sarcophagus Key.

Now that you have the Sarcophagus Key, its time to return to the Sarcophagus to collect the Spirit Mender, a unique medium armor.
