Add decorative 6x6 Post
I’m about to start a project in our basement, building a bar area. In one area, I’d like to put a 6x6 post on each side of a bar top. What’s the best way to accomplish this and still be able to put flooring around the base? The bar will be framed with 2x4’s and the frame will be anchored into the concrete floor - I imagined attaching the post to the frame, but am at a loss the best way to attach the post to the floor. I don’t have easy access to the ceiling framing being the basement, but not opposed to cutting the ceiling up if necessary .
