Add Step for Slide on Treehouse (Need Help)
Hi fellow DIYers, I recently got a slide for our treehouse, and I’m planning to have it come out of the side opening and go to the left. To do that, I want to build a small platform that sticks out about 1 meter from the treehouse. The opening is about 60 cm wide. My main concern is stability and safety, especially at the top. I’m wondering if I should add a new footing and vertical support post under the platform, or if it’s safe to attach it directly to the treehouse structure. I’m a bit cautious about putting too much stress on the existing frame. I know the slide will need a support beam midway down its length, but for now I’m focused on getting the platform securely anchored. Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated. submitted by /u/cheetosman12 [link] [comments]
