There are several different altitude locations in which the Kranodath can be found roaming around Region 12 in the Basin. If you have your map oriented in the right direction, Region 12 is in the northwestern side of the Basin, a more wide-open area with different terrain levels. The Kranodath look like velociraptors, with a big frill around their head area. You need to slay 6 Kranodath in total for the Mark of the Kranodath quest, and they typically travel in groups of three. This means you'll need to find two separate groups of them for the quest, but that shouldn't be an issue as they are plentifully available in the area. They are considered Bird Wyverns and can be found in the oil basin area hunting Gelidron. After slaying the Kranodath required for this quest, make sure you harvest the carcass.
