Blue Ivy Shuts Down Beyoncé 'Cowboy Carter' Tour, Next to Rumi Carter Making Stage Debut

Following her successful "Renaissance World Tour" in 2023 that painted the world disco ball silver, Beyoncé kicked off her "Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin Circuit Tour"at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Monday night. She didn't just break the internet with her custom Mugler chaps and fringe (styled by Shiona Turini) and perfectly choreographed dances. She also turned it into a family affair: Blue Ivy made her return to the stage, and Rumi Carter joined, marking the 7-year-old's stage debut.

During the three-hour show, which features an incredible 42-track setlist, Beyoncé brought out Rumi while she performed "Protector" alongside Blue Ivy. The back-up dancers surrounded the trio, creating an unforgettable and sweet moment for the crowd and the family. Family was at the center of the show (as it is in the Cowboy Carter album), evident through the adorable moments on stage and a montage of Queen Bey with her three children, Blue Ivy, Rumi, and Sir (Rumi's twin), playing at one point during the night.

While Monday night marked Rumi's first on-stage appearance, Cowboy Carter marks Blue Ivy's second tour, making her a seasoned veteran of sorts. The 13-year-old appears as a back-up dancer once again after making her debut on the "Renaissance World Tour" in 2023 at the Paris, France show, where she emerged in a silver top and cargo pants. She also performed alongside her mother during the Beyoncé Bowl NFL Halftime Show in December 2024. At this point, fans are also coming to watch her and all their beautiful mother-daughter moments.

Whether Blue Ivy and Rumi will be joining her at future shows remains to be seen, but 32 shows are remaining in the stadium tour, so there's no doubt that fans can expect more heartfelt family moments. On opening night, after all, Blue Ivy also made appearances during "America Has A Problem" as well as "Deja Vu" and "Texas Hold 'Em." Beyoncé let her take center stage and gave her space to start paving her own path.

The tour spans nine cities in the U.S. and Europe, with a show in Las Vegas closing out the tour on July 26. She wouldn't be Beyoncé if she weren't breaking records and making history, and this tour is making history with the tour dates and being the only artist to have the most scheduled dates at SoFi Stadium.
