Camouflage Can't Hide the BAPE x Crocs Classic Clog From This Week's Best Footwear Drops

We've officially entered the month of March and while excitement permeates the NBA with its chaotic playoff picture, it is also hitting the footwear industry this week as Nike, ASICS, adidas, New Balance, Jordan Brand and Crocs are all set to offer anticipated drops this week. Before we dive into all 10 launches, let's first look back at which sneaker headlines caught our eye last week.

On the feature side of things, we started with a compilation of 10 new sneaker models to track this year, featuring 10 different brands. We also caught up with norda's Nick Martire to reveal the norda 005 -- the world's most advanced trail running shoe.

Nike had an unveiling of its own, bringing forth its new racing footwear set -- the Vaporfly 4 and Streakfly 2. We were also served a complete preview of Olaolu Slawn’s two Nike Air Max 90 colorways. As for rumor discussions, the Air Foamposite One is expected to arrive in a new "Carbon Fiber" look this year alongside a Stüssy x Nike Air Baltoro collaboration. Jordan Brand gave Luka Dončić the opportunity to debut his Jordan Luka 4 in the superstar's first match against his former team. Better looks at the A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 5 "Violet Ore" and Air Jordan 9 "Cool Grey" were also delivered.

Elsewhere in the industry, New Balance had a big week with Salehe Bembury finally announcing the launch of his 991v2 “Colors Be The Palette.” Teasers of a Rich Paul x New Balance 2010 collab and CNCPTS x New Balance 1000 popped up as well. Rounding things out, Marni and HOKA's debut collaboration featuring the Bondi B3LS was revealed.

Its Three Stripes begin in suede at the lateral and transition to satin at the medial, adding depth via contrast. As for the Superstar 82s, each pair is inspired by pastoral life with colorways nodding to charred toast, fresh milk and goats. The eye-catching pair features a loose-gauge mesh at its base in white, pairing it with shimmering silver overlays and strong notes of orange. Why You Should Cop: Valentine's Day may be weeks in the past, but love is still in the air as Drake continues the rollout of his "Love You Forever" series of Nike Air Force 1s with a global launch of his "Pink Foam" colorway. Produced via his collaborative NOCTA line with the Swoosh, the pair appears in an all-pink presentation that is accented by a silver dubrae and carries NOCTA branding at not only the sockliner, but the left shoe's heel tab as well. Why You Should Cop: DTLR and New Balance have not only consistently dropped exclusive pairs together, but have done so with strong themes that bring excitement to the American sportswear brand's silhouettes. This week they're reconnecting to drop a "Moon Sign" version of the 1906R that is informed by astrology. It reflects this inspiration with a color palette that nods to power colors associated with different astrological signs as white, silver, yellow, red and several blue hues are present throughout its build.

Air Jordan 4 “Abundance”

Why You Should Cop: 2024 may have been the year of the Air Jordan 4, but that doesn't mean that Jordan Brand is taking its foot off the gas this year. Two major collaborations featuring the beloved silhouette are expected to arrive this month but before we focus on those looks, we first have a new "Abundance" colorway to evaluate. A soft "Seafoam" green adorns the upper of the shoe with silver metallic detailing nodding to 2005's "Pure Money" colorway. The special rendition of the shoe was teased last month in "Dark Atomic Teal" and later revealed to include a "Bloodline" pair that is limited to a mere 300 pairs as an exclusive to the UK. Both combine a shaggy base with leather overlays, favoring green and red respectively while chrome detailing hits the heel in differing tints of silver and rose.
