Can Seikrets be customized in Monster Hunter Wilds?
Past Monster Hunter games have offered extensive customization options for both the player character and animal companions. The newest entry to the series, Monster Hunter Wilds, lets players create their Hunter’s look, as well as that of their Palico. But what about your Seikret? You find a Seikret during one of the opening cutscenes, after which it becomes your trusty companion. This Seikret is green and purple and comes with a predetermined set of gear. In the Monster Hunter Wilds open beta, the Seikret is not customizable. You can change the appearance of your Hunter and Palico at any time, but not your Seikret. Keep in mind that the open beta is just that: a beta. Players are only given access to a small slice of the full game. Some of the DLC bonus packs include special accessories for your Seikret, and one of the developer showcase streams included a striking red and yellow Seikret. Perhaps players will find new Seikret mounts as the story progresses, or somehow gain the ability to dye their Seikret’s feathers.
