Carl Friedrik and Hackett London Expand Their Collaborative Collection
After launching their partnership in 2024, British brands Carl Friedrik and Hackett London have expanded their collaborative range with the addition two new bags – the Compact Weekender and the cabin-friendly The Carry-on X, a Carl Friedrik icon immortalized on screen as a favorite of Succession's Logan Roy.Founded in 2012, Carl Friedrik is a relative newcomer in luxury travel, and while its products have featured in HBO's aforementioned dark comedy-drama, its carefully crafted and thoughtfully designed bags predate the entry of "quiet luxury" into the fashion lexicon. One of these, The Carry-on X, is an award-winning and super durable 43L capacity cabin bag built with an aluminum frame and designed with the modern traveller in mind. It features a polycarbonate shell and includes an easy-to-access front pocket that unzips and expands to reveal separate small pockets suitable for passports and other personal effects, as well as a dedicated laptop sleeve with a velcro strap to secure your device. The main compartment is divided into two spaces, both of which feature compression straps in an "X" shape, with one side including a zippered compression pad. Vegetable-tanned leather details are found throughout the bag, including both the side and top handles, as well as a co-branded logo patch inside the main compartment. The other new bag in the brands' collaborative collection is the Compact Weekender, a minimally designed overnight bag made from smooth yet strong nubuck leather. It has a generous 24L capacity and features four pockets, one of which is a quick-access slip pocket, and weighs just 3.5 lbs (1.6 kg). Both of the new bags arrive in Hackett London's famous navy and green palette, a color combination that has become a signature of the brand, and one that easily compliments Carl Friedrik's existing aesthetic. The latest pieces from the Carl Friedrik and Hackett London collection are available now.
