Dock De-Icer tripping gfci
Electrician of reddit some advice requested. I have a dock de-icer, the large motor with fan blade type. Which has started tripping the gfci. It doesn't trip straight away, initially maybe 10 minutes, then if you reset it 5, then 2. Is this likely to be a true ground fault or do they also trip if the motor is pulling too much current. How best to test? submitted by /u/womble_of_wimbledon [link] [comments]
