Exposed baby to silica dust - how worried should I be?

Hi everyone! So, hubby and I have been redoing our garden for the past few months. Yesterday, he dry-cut some porcelain tiles outside in our garden - as it wasn't in an enclosed space, he didn't think it was necessary to use a wet saw. We kept all the doors and windows shut the entire time, and he hosed everywhere down with water afterwards, to make sure that there were no visible dust. Our 7 months old baby was napping in the front room, and I kept him in for another hour after husband has finished working. I didn't think much about the dust at the time, but the hypochondriac/worried mum in me decided to do some research... That sent me down a massive rabbit hole! It seems that the more I Google, the more horror stories I read about silica dust exposure - and that it can remain in the air for days! Now I'm petrified that I might have put my little boy in danger... I'm sooo sorry to be putting this on here - I realize that this is probably post #3659573 about silica dust exposure. But I so desperately need some help and reassurance. I've been crying all night thinking about the worst case scenario, and can't stop my anxiety from spiraling out of control. Thank you all so so much! submitted by /u/Plane-Fee3668 [link] [comments]
