Garage - Wood shelving to Fleximount Shelving
We moved in a year ago and the first thing I noticed was the wooden DIY shelves NAILED to the ceiling. The weight of the shelves and everything on the shelves was starting to sag and pull itself downward. This has been on my to do list since moving in a year ago and wasn’t exactly sure which direction to go. I initially had a contractor specializing in garage shelving flooring come out and provide an estimate but I didn’t go for it. Fast forward to this year, I found a few different setup from NewAge, Fleximount, etc. I ended up going with Fleximount for the entire build. Install was fairly easy but as this was my first time doing any major drilling into studs/joists, it did take me about 8 hours of actual work since I wanted to do it right and minimize mistakes. Overall, I’m happy, wife is happy. Up next is installing LED lighting and maybe a wall hook or board system to hang some of the tools and I should be “done”. submitted by /u/perkidddoh [link] [comments]
