Can’t open uPVC door - Drilled through mechanism, latch won’t open
I installed a new locking mechanism on the door fine. I was changing the handles today and it required new holes so I just drilled through the door not thinking and right through the gearbox. The door is shut and won’t open, the spindle won’t turn to release the latch and open the door. If I can just get the door open? I can just install a new mechanism. Do I have to take the door of the hinges? If so, I’m not sure how because I think you need to open the door to remove the hinge covers? submitted by /u/BowsMind [link] [comments]
