Holloway Li's "T4 Sofa" Gets a Wipe-Clean Update

London studio Holloway Li and Spanish design label UMA have unveiled the latest iteration of their instantly recognizable "T4 Sofa" – this time upholstered in red PVC fabric.

The result of a collaboration with accessories label CAHU, the plush sections of the T4 have now been covered in the wipe-clean material used across the brand's signature tote bags.

Its bright red hue is paired with the off-white "Cream Soda" shade of the fiberglass shell – with both materials making the sofa both outdoor and indoor ready.

Since it first launched in 2022, the T4 chair has cemented its status as a future classic. Holloway Li founders Alex Holloway and Na Li based its form on 90s memorabilia such as lava lamps and inflatable chairs, and crafted the final piece from composites more typically found in the automotive industry.

Originally available in four shades (Melon Yellow, Blush Pink, Overground Orange, and Cream Soda), an extension to the line was launched at Milan Design Week in 2023 – a shiny black version titled "Liquorice".

Following the CAHU collaboration, UMA and Holloway Li will bring even more variety to the modular seating system, with two seaters and new color combinations in the form of Dark Plum and Light Pink, and Liquorice Black with Cream Soda.

The new T4 Sofa will launch at Matter & Shape, which opens in Paris this Friday, March 7th. Here, the pieces will be on show inside an immersive installation, set to be composed of "dramatic" red walls and flooring.
