Homemade Emoji Coasters (and other possible applications)
This a cool project that took a couple of years to come to fruition. I used additive/3D printing techniques to build the substrates, and applied tailored coatings to get the colors and finishes. They are water/wear resistant. The images are open source! I learned a lot about the Unicode system, how to get the images, and even how to create your own emojis.
