Homme Plissé Issey Miyake Is Pitti Immagine Uomo 108's Guest of Honor

Pitti Uomo 108 revealed on Wednesday that it will host Homme Plissé Issey Miyake as its Guest of Honor for the June 2025 edition, scheduled from June 17 to 20 in Florence, Italy.

"We feel grateful for this opportunity to be featured at one of the most celebrated menswear events around the world. On this occasion, we will present our Spring/Summer 2026 collection to a local and international audience in Florence, created based on our research and field studies carried out during our travels across Italy," the Japanese brand's design team shared in a statement.  

Previous Pitti Uomo designers dubbed guests of honor include fashion royalty like Ann Demeulemeester, Marine Serre, SS Daley, and more. For the biannual menswear show, getting Homme Plissé Issey Miyake in the starry spot was a long time coming. "We have long hoped to associate the name of the great Japanese brand with our event," Pitti Immagine CEO Raffaello Napoleone said in a release.

"This is our way of recognizing and celebrating the quality, creativity and originality of the brand, its success on a global scale—and, at the same time, highlighting the brand’s current creative direction, which has successfully reinterpreted the quiet, elegant magic of its founder: one of the designers, one of the artists, who marked the history of fashion in the twentieth century. I don’t dare to give comments as I was a fashion critic, but I can’t help but be struck by the blend of elegance, functionality, innovative use of color and materials, artistic flair and conceptual lightness that define Homme Plissé Issey Miyake’s work," Napoleone continued. "It’s a vision that both honors and revitalizes such a powerful and distinctive legacy."

Homme Plissé Issey Miyake will host its show on June 18 at a Florence venue that has yet to be revealed. Regardless, Napoleone adds, "Florence is, as always, ready to offer an evocative and unforgettable setting.”
