How can I move and support these basement stairs?
I now own my late mother in laws house. She had a handy man she hired for some remodels whose work is pretty shoddy. For some reason he moved the basement stairs forward 6-8 inches. Now when I carry things to the basement I have to duck out of the way of the wall across from the stairs.
