Both quests follow the same steps and require you to interact with Big Dill, but the quests can be very difficult: A lot of players land in Crime City and the quest might not even start for you. There’s a chance that Big Dill will not mention the party to you, so you’re left wondering if you’re missing something.
To help you save some time, we’ve listed out how to complete the found and story quests in Fortnite, and fix the bug in the “Somebody’s planning a party in Crime City.”
How to complete ‘Somebody’s planning a party in Crime City’ quest in Fortnite
To help Big Dill with the party, follow these steps:
- Interact with Big Dill in Crime City and select the “Get Briefed” dialogue option.
- Complete the following actions:
- Open the box on the roof.
- Open the box behind the bar on the second floor.
- Pick up the record on the second floor balcony.
- Pick up the record in the first floor bathroom.
- Interact with Big Dill to complete the quest.
Once completed, Big Dill will drop a ton of bars on the ground and you’ll receive a full level’s worth of experience.
How to fix the ‘Somebody’s planning a party in Crime City’ quest bug in Fortnite
As of this writing, both quests where you help Big Dill with his party have a chance to be bugged. If the quest is bugged, you’ll see the usual “Ask About” dialogue option when you interact with him, and you won’t be able to progress further in the found and story quest.
There isn’t a guaranteed fix as of yet, but there are a few options you can try:
- Progress through the quest in Ranked
- Restart Fortnite
