How to get Coarse Thread in RuneScape: Dragonwilds

There are dozens of early-game resources you need to upgrade your character in Runescape: Dragonwilds, but one of the toughest materials to acquire is Coarse Thread. Coarse Thread is needed to make a bow and other stronger pieces of gear in Ashenfall, so how do you go about adding it to your inventory? In the guide below, you can see exactly what you need to get Coarse Thread and what it's used for in RuneScape: Dragonwilds. Getting Coarse Thread in RuneScape: Dragonwilds To break it down easily, Coarse Thread is produced by using Coarse Animal Fur at a Spinning Wheel. All you need to do is fire up your Spinning Wheel, insert some Coarse Animal Fur, and you'll have Coarse Thread to use in no time. Of course, there's a little more to it than just following those simple steps. First, you need to find the sources of Coarse Animal Fur; it's not just lying around on the ground like stone and wood are. Coarse Animal Fur is most commonly looted by killing wildlife around the starting areas in RuneScape: Dragonwilds. You can easily loot a ton of Coarse Animal Fur by killing Kebbits, which are level one creatures you can find right outside of the tutorial castle after first booting up a new playthrough. If you look by Doric's tent or all around the Temple Woods starting area, you'll find more than your fair share of Kebbits. Picking up Coarse Animal Fur from a dead Kebbit. Rats are required to kill for Vannaka's tutorial quest, so you'll already be looking for them anyway. Basically, if an animal has fur and you can kill it near the starting area of Dragonwilds, you can loot Coarse Animal Fur from it. Once you have a solid stack of Coarse Animal Fur in your inventory, you need to build a Spinning Wheel to turn it into Coarse Thread. But there are some steps you need to take before a Spinning Wheel can be created. First off, you need to ensure you have the right resources to build the Spinning Wheel. As for Flax, you can easily loot that resource by going to Bramblemead Valley, which is located east of Temple Woods. You have to visit the Wise Old Man here and set up a base in the area as part of the tutorial. Flax around this area isn't difficult to find at all. Unlike other crafting stations, the Spinning Wheel needs a roof over it to use. This means you need to build a simple base or use an existing roof in the world to build the Spinning Wheel under. You can build a base by pressing "B" to access the build menu in Dragonwilds. From there, build some wood foundations, walls, and roofs to get a starter base going. You can then open the menu again, go to the "Crafting" section, and find the Spinning Wheel there. Creating Coarse Thread at a Spinning Wheel. Here, you can insert your Coarse Animal Fur on the top square and then press "Craft" to start producing Coarse Thread. It takes three Coarse Animal Fur to craft one Coarse Thread, so you'll need a decent amount of fur to make enough thread for other crafting recipes.
