TL;DR
- Disclaimer: This article combines confirmed details with industry speculation. We’ll update it regularly as new info or leaks emerge.
- Invincible VS will be released in 2026, but a release date is not yet known.
- The title is a 3v3 tag-fighter, featuring a roster of existing Invincible characters.
- The title is being developed by Quarter Up, including members of the Double Helix team responsible for 2013’s Killer Instinct.
- Invincible VS will feature destroyable stages and a battle-fatigue system.
- Available platforms will be Windows PCs, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5.
- It will include an original single-player story created by the team behind the animated show.
We love a good tag fighting game, and the early suggestions are that Invincible VS will be that. We’re also sure the title’s announcement has generated enough interest that the show’s first three seasons are getting watched and rewatched endlessly. Tag-fighters have a storied history in competitive and casual gaming, and we don’t doubt that a new chapter will be added with the Invincible VS release date.
But what do we know about the upcoming title? A decent amount of interesting details based on the announcement trailer. And there’s far more than a hint of connectedness to the source material of Robert Kirkman. So, while we can speculate about a few key details until official information arrives, there’s a good amount to dash, jump, and tag in to.
When could Invincible VS be released?
We expect Invincible VS to be released in 2026; exact release date and window: TBD
Although there’s no Invincible VS release date yet, we have an, albeit fairly large, opening for the Invincible VS release window. Per the announcement trailer, the tag-fighter is scheduled to arrive in 2026. That gives a 12-month window, but is it possible to refine that a little?
Invincible VS developer Quarter Up is responsible for the title coming to fruition, but the publisher is Skybound Games. Skybound may not be a very familiar name, although its titles include those around another popular comic-turned-series, The Walking Dead. Interestingly, Skybound’s Steam page shows that its releases across the past three years have had a preference for the period from May to August.
There is an exception to this recent trend, and it’s Invincible Presents: Atom Eve, a game released for Windows PCs in November 2023. It is possible that Skybound Games could want to release another Invincible title in the key November holiday period, but that’s purely speculation on our part.
Being closely tied to the comic book IP, and with the arrival of Invincible Season 4 in July 2026, it is possible that Invincible VS could arrive in that May to August window as a perfectly timed tie-in. Again, this is speculation, but at just over a year from the announcement to such a release, it could make sense.
Needless to say, we don’t know when the Invincible VS game will arrive, but we’ll be tracking the latest updates; next summer seems like the safest bet.
Are Invincible VS price & pre-orders confirmed?
Expected to cost $50-60; official pricing and pre-orders are yet to go live

In short, no. At this stage in the game’s development, and still well away from a release (at some point) in 2026, we don’t have any official information. Once the Invincible VS release date is confirmed, it will likely bring the other key information with it.
So, no, we don’t know about Invincible VS pre-orders yet, or even the Invincible Vs price or pricing model, but we do think a pre-order option is likely. As you’d expect, we’re keeping a close eye on the various official Invincible VS store pages, as we know it will be arriving on three platforms. We also want to point out that in our research around these topics, we have seen some third-party pre-order pages providing prices for each platform. Again, it’s important to note that there is no official information about either of these bits of information, and we’re waiting for an official release.
Invincible VS platforms
Confirmed for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam
As suggested above, and confirmed at the end of its announcement trailer, the Invincible VS platforms on release will be Windows PCs, the Xbox Series X/S, and the PlayStation 5. Invincible VS currently has a Microsoft Store page, a PlayStation Store page, and a Steam page, so this is guaranteed, especially as it’s confirmed on the Invincible VS website.
Invincible VS trailer & details
The first official Invincible VS trailer arrived on June 8, 2025, and is just over two minutes long. It shows the game is staying true to the brutal and gory animation style that Invincible and the TV series are known for. While the trailer is light on specifics about the game, which is to be expected from an announcement, the available gameplay, story/context, and gameplay do roll into a compelling introduction.
Initially, we see Invincible himself getting bloodied and battered by his father, Omni-Man, we’re shown environmental destruction typical of the show’s style and the Invincible IP, and an initial hint of a fuller Invincible VS roster. As such, alongside Omni-Man, we see the viltrumites Lucan and Thula, while on the other side, in a heroic trio, we see Invincible himself, Atom-Eve, and Rex Splode.
Invincible VS gameplay in the trailer doesn’t show any action from Rex Splode, but it does include Bulletproof. This action also shows some of the stages for the game, some of which are more destructible than others, including the Moon, the Himalayas, and Chicago. Equally open to getting bruised are the characters, who will exhibit blood and clear signs of being in a fight if they are being beaten.
There is much to unpack from such a short trailer, as we see light, heavy, super, and what looks like a special attack (from Atom-Eve). Based on publicly available early preview content, we should also expect stamina and combo meters to play a part in fights. Not that all matches will necessarily be 3v3.
The Invincible VS website reveals that alongside “tournament-quality fights” and “real-time battle damage”, there will be “dynamic game modes” and “An Original Story By The Creative Team Behind The Animated Show”. This will be a single-player story too, so there’s more depth and lore here than you may expect. Essentially, there’s a lot to look forward to!
Conclusion
While the Invincible VS release date is not yet known, the promising (predominantly) tag-fighting title will arrive in 2026. Whether that’s around he time of the July 2026 Invincible Series 4 release, or another time, we don’t yet know. What is certain, though, is that the Invincible VS game will bring all of the intellectual property’s high-paced, high-action, gore, brutality, and destructively enjoyable style to PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5.
