Kitchen vent draft

I can feel a draft from the kitchen vent/fan. I'm not sure how to fix it. A bit of context I got a new roof last year, they also changed the vent covers etc. I remember them accidentally dropping a tool down the kitchen vent, which I think caused this issue. If I look up the vent/fan I can see light though not direct light. I got on the roof and there is no way to easily take off the cover or reach in it.
