Maison Margiela and Gentle Monster Are Back With a Third Collaboration

Maison Margiela and Gentle Monster are back for a third collaboration. Every time the two have linked up, it's led to an eyewear drop that merges both brands' signatures and quickly sells out. This new release follows successful collections from the fashion labels' 2023 and 2024 link-ups; it includes eight pairs of sunglasses and 12 optical frames.

Gentle Monster, the Korean brand that's grown popular for its distinct take on eyewear, brings its usual visionary energy for its third collaboration with Maison Margiela. New pieces are distinguished by their "cybercore aesthetics," like a futuristic-feeling pair of shield sunglasses with Maison Margiela's trademark four stitches embellishing the arms. For those shopping for something less flashy, there are Matrix-esque ovular lenses and a colorful range of more classic frames (spanning red, tortoiseshell, and more).

Prices have yet to be released on the new items, though eyewear in their last items started around $320. Items will be available to shop on Gentle Monster's website starting March 5 and in stores on March 6. There will be seven pop-ups worldwide to commemorate the brands' third link up, though exact cities and dates have yet to be announced.

Gentle Monster collaborations don't miss. Beyond its strong track record with Maison Margiela—its first joint collection came February 2023, curated by then-Creative Director John Galliano—it also counts Mugler, Coperni, Moncler, and Heron Preston as past collaborators.
