Math question re. Balusters. How many?

I'm building a banister. I've done this before but I can’t remember the math I used to figure the number and placement of the balusters. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Here are the numbers I know I'm dealing with: The overall length of the banister is 90”. The brackets at each end, attaching it to the supports, are 7” so the face of the first baluster should at least start there, although it could be adjusted to as much as 8”. We would use whatever this figure is for all the remaining spaces, including between the face of the last baluster and the wall. The balusters are going to be 1.75”. So, how can I figure out how many balusters I need and the correct spacing? Thanks, again, for any guidance! submitted by /u/DavesNotHere1 [link] [comments]
