plumbing question: sediment filter, softener, utility sink.
a friend of mine is replacing a Culligan system with their own softener and will be installing a three stage sediment filter as well. their plan is source > sediment filter > softener > house. they would also like to put in a utility sink there in the garage while they are there so they dont have to go out to the outside taps to get water for things like pets water and house plants. what do they need to put in between the sediment and softener to split to a sink without pulling in any of the salt water? if this is a better question for diy, let me know.
