Pokémon Go ‘Serene Retreat’ event guide

Pokémon Go’s “Serene Retreat” is one of three big events that are leading up to Pokémon Go Fest, happening alongside the in-person event in Osaka. This event runs from May 30 until June 3.

The event features a ton of bonuses, including halved hatch distance for any eggs put into the Incubators during the event period, 1.5x hatch XP, and increased Max Particle collection and limits — which comes right on time for the debut of Gigantamax Rillaboom on May 31 and June 1.

Below we list all the perks and bonuses for Pokémon Go’s “Serene Retreat” event, including the paid Timed Research, Collection Challenge, and spawns.

Pokémon Go ‘Serene Retreat’ premium Timed Research and reward

This event only has a premium Timed Research, so if you want these encounters, you’ll need to pay $1.99 for the ticket in the shop. The rewards are worth it for the coin/cash value, but I would really only buy this if you want to shiny hunt Munna and Morelull, both of which have higher shiny rates during this event.

If you buy this ticket, you’ll also get 1.5x Stardust from hatching eggs.
