Powder Room Corner Not Square

Per title, the corner of the room is not square. I recently removed our pedestal sink and am trying to install a vanity sink instead. I'd love for it to be in the corner, since that makes the most sense and is most aesthetically pleasing. It's a quite small powder room, after all, so I'd prefer to use the space in there as efficiently as possible. But, as you can see, I'm dealing with some pretty large gaps. I couldn't really find a (what I consider to be reasonable) solution to this problem on Google/YouTube. Someone mentioned cutting into drywall a bit, but I'm not sure I feel comfortable with that. I'm toying with the idea of just offsetting it from the side wall by an inch or so and pushing it flush against the back wall and siliconing it (First 2 pictures). If committing to placing it into into the corner, then maybe 2 backplashes along both walls? Though, I'm not sure if those gaps are too big.. or if I'll find a good enough color match. (The rest of the pictures - the measurements shown were taken when the other wall was flush). My wife says it's fine to just offset it by an inch on the side wall and keep it flush against the back wall, silicone it and be done. Though, I agree it looks ok, my brain can't help but tell me this is not the way, just because it should be in the corner. I'm concerned due to all of the dirt, dust, debris, pet hair, or anything else that will fall down there and collect. Am I overthinking it here?? Should I just take the easy route and call it a day? Or do I need to scratch my head some more? If taking the backspash route, I don't even know if I'd find a color match at the local store. What would you guys all do? Are there other ways to resolve this that I'm not thinking of? submitted by /u/sippinonorphantears [link] [comments]
