Questions about reversing outlets, of all kinds.

I'm looking to try and do this project myself and have some questions. I want to swap my laundry machines to the opposite side of the same wall. This wall has the plumbing and drain for the washer contained in a little hollow metal alcove and the heavy duty electrical outlet for the dryer to one side. For the plumbing, if I can unscrew the spouts off, it looks like I can just slide the little metal box housing off and remount it from the other side. Question 1: Will the threads on the supply lines cause the spouts to screw back on facing the same way (which would be unhelpfully backwards from the reverse side)? If so, how do I reverse it so that the spouts screw back on the new way? Question 2: Do I need to use anything special to reseal those spouts or is nylon plumbers tape sufficient? For the electrical, Im not gonna lie,i'm spooked by plugs. If I turn off all my circuit breakers, I assume that'll keep me from frying myself, but still. Question 3: to reverse this big honkin outlet, can I just unfastin it from the stud and twist it around? Do I need to disconnect and reconnect it from the wires instead? submitted by /u/Medium_Childhood3806 [link] [comments]
