Say “I do” and honeymoon drama
Hi, — and this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write. But it’s also one of the most meaningful. Nate and I have been together for seven years. We’ve built a love that’s deep, loyal, and enduring — but we’ve also been through some really hard times. And right now, we’re asking for help so we can finally celebrate the life we’ve built together. Not long ago, Nate was in a car accident. Thankfully, he walked away from it — but it forced him out of work and has continued to be out of work due to his injury, and the timing couldn’t be worse. We were already trying to keep up with rising costs, and then suddenly we were staring down medical bills, lost income, and no safety net. We’ve done everything we can to stay afloat — I have added another job to my roster, cutting back, and leaning on each other more than ever. We’re not ones to ask for help easily. But the truth is: we’re struggling. We’re working hard to plan a small, meaningful wedding that reflects who we are — resourceful, creative, and deeply in love — but financially, it’s been difficult. And as much as we’d love to just focus on the joy of getting married, we’re still trying to climb out from under bills and stress. Beyond the wedding, we’ve also been dreaming of a simple honeymoon — just a few days to breathe, to rest, and to reconnect after everything we’ve been through. We’ve need the chance to get away together, and after seven years of pushing through hard seasons, it would mean everything. We know times are tough for a lot of people, so please know that every dollar helps, and every donation — no matter the amount — is a piece of our story we’ll never forget. You’re helping us not just fund a day, but honor seven years of love, struggle, healing, and commitment. Thank you for reading this. Thank you for caring. And thank you, truly, for being part of our journey.
