Sealing Assistance
I am mounting a bracket on the roof of my shed that will hold a pole. The bracket is attached with lag bolts, so that would go through the shingles and wood of the roof. Couple questions as I am not sure Is there somewhere in particular on the roof I should try to attach it? Its just an A shaped angled roof Once I drill the holes for the bolts, for sealing them / protecting them, what should I use? Should I put whatever it is around and in the pilot holes then drill the lag bolts in, which will bring the bracket in tight contact with shingles / roof and would be pushing down on whatever I use to seal it about an inch around the bolt What is tar paper for?
