Stupid idea, no idea how to execute, please help
Hello! This is probably a dumb idea for most people but I am currently in a weird situation. I am going through a fun little medical mystery where no one knows what’s happening or how to help, I have a team of 6 doctors working on that lol. I am mostly disabled and only able to do limited activities while standing and therefore spend about 90% of my day in bed due to pain. To my request: I am a person who has never been able to journal consistently, I can for a day or two but I have never been able to keep up the habit. If I don’t have the ability to write something down then and there I usually forget about it. I have a note book I am keeping track of my symptoms and reactions in, along with my food intake, but I struggle with consistency because if I don’t see the note book or think about it, I don’t write in it, or I see it and say I will do it later. (I need as much data about my day to day symptoms for the doctors, and unfortunately my memory is not well right now, hence needing to write it down) I want to have that notebook on my ceiling above my bed set to a timer so every day at 2pm it drops down via string or something and is quite literally in my face and I would have to wind it back up for it not to be. My thinking is if it drops down consistently I will be able to write in it, put it back up, and actually develop that habit. Yes, I know this is a weird way to do it, I am not looking for advice on how to develop this habit in another way, I simply just want to know how to create a device/mechanism that can drop down a notebook on a string at a certain time each day, that I can relatively easily pull back up there. I did try google, and mostly they are giving me results related to Minecraft which is unhelpful in the current scenario (but great for future Minecraft knowledge).
