LunaTone Inc. has officially announced an exclusive partnership with Korean esports organisation T1 Entertainment & Sports (T1) to become its official merchandise distributor.
The partnership will see LunaTone become the exclusive distributor of T1’s official merchandise in the Japanese market, with products being made available to fans through a dedicated local partner.
The partnership will also include online sales, pop-up activations, and potential collaborations, bringing the T1 experience to the Land of the Rising Sun. Additional details regarding specific product lines, sales channels, and release dates will be announced at a later date.
Founded in 2021 by Hyun Baro with its headquarters based in Roppongi, Minato-ku, Tokyo, LunaTone specialises in driving innovation through games, esports and the metaverse, offering research and strategy development, content creation and educational programmes.
The company has been working with governments, institutions, and organisations worldwide and has provided solutions to connect industries for various municipalities across Japan, having collaborated with Yokosuka City, Okinawa Prefecture, Ibaraki Prefecture and Saitama Prefecture.
Aside from T1, LunaTone has also partnered up with the Asian Electronic Sports Federation (AESF) to serve as a member of the AESF Technology & Innovation Commission. Earlier this year, the company also opened its Korean branch to strengthen its position and bring new opportunities from the new market.
T1 doesn’t need much of an introduction. The Korean organisation is the most dominant and successful in the League of Legends esports scene, having won the World Championship five times, spearheaded by the most iconic player in esports, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok.
Additionally, T1 currently competes across VALORANT, Teamfight Tactics, PUBG, Tekken 8, and Overwatch. The team also added rosters in Street Fighter 6 and Fatal Fury for the upcoming Esports World Cup (EWC), which sees T1 as part of the 40 clubs in the EWC Partner Programme.
