The Incredible New LEGO Lord of the Rings Book Nook Set Is Available to Preorder Now
Releasing June 1, 2025.
LEGO is making a big push towards awesome themed buildable book nooks. The Lord of the Rings book nook set is the latest to be announced, and is available to preorder on Amazon or directly through LEGO. This joins the Sherlock Holmes Baker Street and Harry Potter Hogwarts Express/ Platform 9 3/4 book nook sets. All three sets will be released on June 1, 2025.
LEGO Lord of the Rings Book Nook Set Is Available For Preorder
The 1,201-piece LEGO set features the epic face-off between Gandalf and the Balrog on the Bridge of Khazad-dûm from the Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring with a plaque containing the now-memed phrase "you shall not pass!" front and center. Not only does this book nook set work as exactly that, but you can open it up into a full diorama to make it the nerdy centerpiece on your coffee table or bookshelf. The Gandalf minifigure is super detailed and includes his sword and staff, and the massive buildable Balrog is posable, wings and all. It even comes with his iconic fire whip. All-in-all, it is a great new gift for Lord of the Rings fans.
The Sherlock Holmes and Harry Potter sets are just as detailed, offering fun Easter eggs from their respective franchises. The Sherlock Holmes book nook is a great recreation of Baker Street where the detective lives, and comes with minifigures for Sherlock, Dr. Watson, and Moriarty, among others. Like the Lord of the Rings set, it opens up into the street view, and the back of it features the iconic Sherlock Holmes logo from the actual books. The Harry Potter Hogwarts Express set includes Harry and Ron Weasley minifigures and splits the famous red train in two. One half of the set is King's Cross station in London, while the other is the magical Platform 9 3/4. It works as a book nook, but I think this set specifically would be better used as a display model instead, as the folded nook mode looks a bit odd with the two halves of the train next to each other. This Harry Potter book nook set is part of a much larger release of new LEGO Harry Potter options coming in June as well.

According to Amazon's own help page, this means that if the price decreases between now and when the item ships, you'll pay the lowest price.
