Trying to attach these corner braces to my trailer
I want to use these corner braces to reinforce the wood on my raft trailer. Issue is I would have to drill pretty close to these welds and I'm not sure if that's is a good idea. Also, when bolted down, the corner brace would be resting on the weld. I'm thinking of using washers so I don't tighten it on the weld. But looking for some advice or if this is a bad idea to drill that close to a weld. Would I be able to only do the lower hole? Not that much weight is on them. Maybe 300 pounds max, if I'm standing on it with some gear. Thanks! submitted by /u/SwollenSack01 [link] [comments]
