Enemies in Heian

Enemies in Heian come in all shapes and sizes, sometimes even in the shape of another player. Cursed Spirits are your main enemies, but sometimes, other players may try to kill you as well, so be careful out there. You gain almost nothing for killing other players, but some do it just for fun. Cursed Spirits are strong, have chain-stun moves, and can teleport or jump to you from far away. It is recommended to get a Cursed Technique before fighting them, or at least a good weapon. Here are the best beginner's tips for Enemies in Heian:
- If you just started and do not have a Cursed Technique, run from Cursed Spirits
- If a player is running at you at full speed, be prepared for a fight
- Enemies can be stunned, but they can also stun you back
- Enemies have a chance to drop valuable items
Clans in Heian

Contrary to popular belief, Clans in Heian do not actually give you any stats or bonuses. Clans are purely cosmetic and determine the color of your hair. There are rare Clans, such as the Gojo and Ryomen clans, which have White and Red hair, so you are more commonly gonna see players with Black, Brown, or Blonde hair. The only exception is the Gojo and Michizane clans, which give you access to Limitless. You can view more information about these Clans in my Heian Clans List and Guide. Here are the best beginner's tips for Clans in Heian:
- Clans do not give you any stats or buffs, they just change your hair color
- You can reroll Clans by wiping your save file and creating a new character
- You can change your Hair Shape at the barber in Kirishima Village
Stats and Skill Points in Heian

While you play Heian, you will level up and receive Skill Points. You can spend those points on Stats or Mastery Levels. Stats give you raw, flat buffs, while Mastery Levels help you with Weapons and Cursed Techniques. Here are the best beginner's tips for Stats and Skill Points in Heian:
- Agility: Increases wall-climbing skills
- Vitality: Increases your maximum health
- Strength: Buffs the damage of strength-based weapons
- Cursed Energy: Increases your Cursed Energy and slightly boosts Cursed Technique damage
- Cursed Output: Increases Cursed Technique damage, slightly increases Cursed Energy used
- Light, Medium, and Heavy Mastery: Boosts their corresponding weapon type’s damage
Rune Stones in Heian

Rune Stones in Heian serve as a means of teleportation between villages. To activate them, simply approach and interact with them. After you do that, the specific Rune Stone will be registered, and you will be able to teleport to it from other Rune Stones. Here are the best beginner's tips for Rune Stones in Heian:
- Activate EVERY Rune Stone you see
- When you are close to a new Rune Stone, you will get a notification and a marker
- After activating it, simply interact with it again to select where you want to teleport
- Rune Stones are located outside of every village and major location
- Rune Stones do not have a cooldown when being used, so you can teleport without worrying
