Weight Capacity for Floating Shelves
I want to build some shelving for my basement storage area and am wondering about the weight capacity, and how to perhaps raise it. I plan on using 2x4's for the framing, and it will be attatched to a concrete wall and the back and one side, and wood studs on the other side. The shelves themselves would be 12 ft wide and 24" deep. How far apart should my braces and anchors be, and what capacity could I expect?
