What material should I use for my built-in bookshelf "countertop"?
Hi Reddit, I am building some bookshelves (as illustrated). I have the lower cabinets in (as pictured) and need to install the "countertop" that will separate the cabinets from the shelves. The cabinets are 12 inches deep and 15 feet long. My question is what material should I use? I have considered solid wood (stained), butcher block, and quartz/marble (remnants?). The material does not have to be one single piece, and I don't want to break the bank. Advice would be greatly appreciated! submitted by /u/madphd876 [link] [comments]
