10 of the best The Sims 4 goth CC, with download links
Whether you enjoy making Sims or exercising your interior design skills in The Sims 4, it can be difficult to find items within the in-game catalog to suit your style. If you’re something of a goth, then this task becomes nearly impossible. While there are occult items within The Sims 4, mainly thanks to the Werewolves and Vampires packs, there is still a distinct lack of goth items that can fit into the dark academia theme. If you’re looking for gothic items, then that’s where Custom Content (CC) can come into play. There are thousands of CC items floating around, waiting to be downloaded, and hundreds of creators dedicating themselves to the art of bringing goth to The Sims 4. Here are 10 of the best goth CC items/packs that I’ve found through my own addiction to CC. Mellosakicc Create-a-Sim CC Image via MellosakiCC / Patreon If you’re looking for some goth clothes or accessories in CAS, then you can’t go wrong with Mellosakicc. Not only do they create intricately designed collections of t-shirts, but also one-off band shirts and punk-vibe pieces. They’ve also experimented with item meshes, so there are a select few B&B CC items to download completely for free from their Patreon. Dark Fairy Tales by Lapanemona Image via Lapanemona / Patreon Whenever I’m decorating a house with a dark academia vibe (which is more often than not, honestly) the Dark Fairy Tales collection by Lapanemona is one of my go-to CC kits. It comes with 14 items, all in multiple swatches, they always just add a touch of goth to any interior. Some of the included items have limited usage potential outside of the goth aesthetic, but the clutter and wall art can be used, whatever your style. Little Goth Nursery by Lapanemona Image via Lapanemona / Patreon Just because your Sims become adults and start a family doesn’t mean that they need to leave their goth roots behind. The Little Goth Nursery set, also by Lapanemona, is perfect for such Sims and their will-be goth children. It comes with everything you need to set up for a new arrival, all of which come in their regular black goth swatch, but also more neutral color schemes that make each item useful even outside of a goth aesthetic. Chateau set by Felixandre Image via Felixandre Sometimes, even the least gothic items can be made goth just by thinking outside the box and the Chateau set by Felixandre is one such set of items. I’m mostly talking about the stunning floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, complete with a ladder, that are perfect for any dark academia library, but the whole set looks incredible in darker colors. Cabinet of Curiosities set by Syboulette Image via Syboulette / The Sims Resource Dubbed a ‘goth office’ set, the Cabinet of Curiosities set by Syboulette is filled with stunning clutter items and wall art alongside the expected desk and other furniture. There’s something about a gallery wall that just says ‘goth’ to me, and this set is the perfect addition to your CC list if you agree with that sentiment. Plus this set also comes with a desk, chair, shelves, and a rug that are all worth having in your collection. Never More collection by Evi Image via Evi / The Sims Resource There is possibly nothing more truly goth than Edgar Allan Poe. He’s the father of gothic literature, after all, so celebrating him is almost a rule in any gothic house. The Never More collection by Evri is small, consisting of two ready-made gallery wall decor pieces, but they’re worth adding to your collection if you want to create the perfect dark aesthetic for reading The Raven or The Tell-Tale Heart. Love for Gothic Windows and Doors by Sixam Image via Sixam CC If you’re a builder in the Sims, then you’ve likely noticed a shocking lack of cathedral-style windows and doors. There are some, included as part of the base game and available to everyone, but they are highly decorative and huge. If you want more choice (which is always a good thing) then the Love for Gothic Windows and Doors set by Sixam CC is absolutely worth downloading. Ultimate Necklace Collection by PralineSims Image via PralineSims / Patreon If there’s a common fashion trend between all goth sub-cultures, it’s chokers, and there are hundreds of different types out there for all styles. If you want a solid collection for your CAS purposes, then the Ultimate Necklace Collection by PralineSims is worth its file size in gold. It comes with 170 different styles of chokers and necklaces, and there’s something for everyone in the set. Bloodthirst collection by PralineSims Image via PralineSims / Patreon Also by PralineSims, the Bloodthirst collection is filled with makeup and accessories that are geared towards the darker side of goth, and even more so towards vampires. With blood smears around the mouth, various types of spooky eyes and makeup, and even a Tokyo Ghoul-style eye patch thrown in for good measure, you’ll have endless fun in CAS with this collection. Emma Full Body Tattoo by PsychoElla

When it comes to gothic culture, tattoos are incredibly common. While there are some ready-to-use tattoos in the Sims 4 base game, they are difficult to layer and their styles don’t always match. The Emma Full Body Tattoo is a cohesive gothic style selection of tattoos that work together really well and can display your Sims' alternative nature.
