1960’s bathroom Reno need subfloor advice

We’re re-doing our master bathroom in our 1962 house. It was that old mud/wire mesh + tile that weighed 5,000 pounds. They’ve cut and replaced and done all sorts of crap to the subfloor, and some of it is rotted/barely holding on. Should we cut out as much of the bad stuff as possible and replace with 3/4” ply? Should we cut it as close to joists as possible and sister joists where needed? The section near the toilet drain has such a dip that the toilet was angled. submitted by /u/ofcsalt [link] [comments]
