The Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 marketing hype appears set to begin after a new video uploaded to a 13-year-old YouTube channel has players in a tizzy. "Cordis Die" translates to "Day of the Heart," and was the name of the revolutionary movement triggered by Menendez in BO2. In that game's ending, Menendez set up a video named Cordis Die to be uploaded upon his death, on June 20, 2025, which is today. Whoa. The scene and BO2's ending can be found below, leading into BO7's plot in some way. David Mason returns as the main character in BO7, and there appears to be some sort of mind manipulation happenings going on, judging by the trailer and the fact that Menendez is somehow "alive" in the events of the game. Best bets right now have Menendez appearing as some kind of AI or mind trick to trigger Mason, but this first video could be one of many coming to drum up hype for BO7 and its storyline.
