Addison Rae Becomes a Pink-Haired Horse Girl in 'Headphones On' Video
She dropped the fourth single from her upcoming album after promoting it by flashing underwear teasing its lyrics.

It's only been a couple months since the release of Addison Rae's "High Fashion" music video, which had the internet obsessing with her barely-there outfits and raunchy dance moves. This Friday, the rising pop star is already back with another cinematic release. Her newest song, "Headphones On," and its music video is all about the world we unlock when we put our earbuds in and let reality drift to the fringes.
The singer knows how to build a new universe in her music videos, and that sentiment remains true in this latest one, as many shots include a pink-haired Rae riding a white horse along the beaches of Iceland. The Nordic country serves as the backdrop for the whole video with shots ranging from Rae cruising a grocery store, riding an animatronic pony, to coasting on a horse. She even went as far as to sport the country's flag on her nails, painted by Mei Kawajiri.
In the "Headphones On" music video, shot by Mitch Ryan, Rae dons not much else besides a purple hoodie, neon panties, and rainboots as she prances through the grey Icelandic atmosphere. Speaking of underwear, the singer was recently spotted lifting her see-through dress for paparazzi in Los Angeles to snap a photo of her pink and white polka dot pair with the words "So I put my headphones on" written on to them. She also made a scene at Coachella when she flashed the audience on stage with a pair of underwear that read, "June 6," likely her album release date. This is definitely a uniquely cheeky way to promote one's music career, but if there's one thing we know to be true it's that in Rae's world anything is possible.
Fans are left wondering what her connection was to the country. Maybe it's her appreciation for Björk? And both Addison Rae and Björk have a sort of kitschy unpredictability to them. Plus, Rae even paid homage to Björk's famous egg-laying dress wearing her own take by Miss Claire Sullivan at the 2024 VMAs.
