Are Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift Breaking Up After Being Away From Spotlight?
The Grammy-winning singer/songwriter and the NFL tight end's time away from the cameras is sparking break-up rumors.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are reveling in their privacy following the singer's historic Eras Tour and the Kansas City Chiefs' (consecutive) participation in Super Bowl LIX, where Kendrick Lamar performed his viral set. But the couple's much-needed break from the limelight after their whirlwind year has sparked rumors about their relationship. Are they breaking up?
A source close to the Grammy winning artist and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end recently spoke out about what's really going on, addressing the rumors out. Apparently, their downtime away from the flashing cameras isn't due to a split. The source told People the 35-year-olds (yes, they're the same age) are "very serious and in sync." They added that both Swift and NFL star Kelce value their privacy, so this time out of public view is "a special time for them" and not in reaction to relationship struggles.
The sources added that Swift and Kelce are taking this time to travel together and have been spotted in Park City, Utah, New York, and, most recently, Montana. "They have been traveling nonstop and very much enjoy it," the source said to the magazine. "They are making the most of their time off together. They are hanging out with friends, too."
With this news, fans are only left to speculate about one thing: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's engagement. While many excitedly ship the couple for those next steps, the couple has yet to make any announcements on nuptial plans. Maybe that's all to come after they return into public view after this hiatus.
The power couple's relationship was first confirmed on September 24, 2023, when the "I Can Do It With A Broken Heart" singer made an appearance at a Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. A special seat was reserved for Swift in Kelce's box suite alongside Donna Kelce, his mother. Kelce had taken to his podcast, New Heights, which he shares with his brother and Eagles player, Jason Kelce, in July 2023, to talk about attending Swift's record-breaking Era Tours and revealed that he sent her a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it.
His bold move paid off as they have been together ever since. The couple has supported each other's careers and isn't afraid to pack on the PDA for the public spectators. Kelce has become one of Swift's muses, inspiring tracks like "The Alchemy" and "So High School" on Swift's Grammy-nominated album The Tortured Poets Department.
