adidas Originals x CLOT Silk Collection Honors Indigenous Chinese Heritage With Striking Campaign

Led by designer Edison Chen, CLOT has unveiled a new collaboration with adidas Originals inspired by Indigenous Chinese heritage. The footwear, apparel, and accessories collection uses craft-infused sportswear and casual styles to illustrate "heritage in motion." With an energetic and artful campaign, CLOT and adidas's latest project comes to life in vibrant eastern motifs and earthbound textures.Leading the collection is two colorways of the CLOT Silk Gazelle, including a white variant adorned with in CLOT's iconic Silk Royale pattern and a tonal blue with yellow and green stripes. Natural rubber-colored crepe soles ground both designs in a rustic materiality. The apparel capsule updates casual and active styles with crocheted details and native patterns, which are also reflected in various accessories, including crochet bucket hats and functional fanny packs.  Highlights include the CLOT Bowling Shirt, which uses a camp-collar style and replaces modern buttons with printed ribbon closures. Elsewhere, the Knit Short takes classic adidas sports shorts and reimagines them in brown crochet with white yarn trims. In May 2024, LỰU ĐẠN and CLOT partnered for a collaboration that explored "ever-evolving Asian identity."  In the 12-piece collection, hoodies, jackets, T-shirts, and shorts were emblazoned with each brand's Asian iconography in red and black tones.  Later in August, adidas and Chen unveiled the CLOT Gazelle in a special linen, khaki, and blue colorway with beaded stripes and a jute-like upper.See the gallery above for an in-depth look at the campaign and collection.
