All the Details on Lil Nas X's Facial Paralysis Hospitalization
The rapper reported on April 14 that half of his face was paralyzed, leaving fans concerned for the health of the beloved musician.

Lil Nas X posted an alarming video on Monday after being hospitalized for losing control of the right side of his face.
Though the 26-year-old rapper, born Montero Lamar Hill, appeared to be in a laughing mood on social media, many fans are left worried for his health. In the April 14 video, the Grammy-winning artist attempted to smile before saying "I can't even laugh right," as he tried to move the right side of his face. The post, which was shared with his more than 10 million Instagram followers quickly garnered close to 7,000 comments wishing him a speedy recovery. Some voiced their concern and wondered if, more specifically, the rapper had a stroke or case of Bell's palsy. Lil Nas X did not reveal the cause of the facial paralysis.
The Atlanta-born artist is not the first singer to report a case of what is suspected to be a rare neurological disorder. Justin Bieber shared a similar video on his Instagram in 2022, pleading with fans, "keep me in your prayers," he wrote. While something like Bell's palsy is rarely permanent—it has a sudden onset, often with a cause unexplained, but is usually temporary—it's often a scary experience as it is quite similar to the symptoms of a stroke.
In the hours since Lil Nas X shared his video, he has posted several Instagram stories urging fans not to worry about his health writing, "Guys I am ok!! Stop being sad for me! Shake ur a** for me instead!" More recently, the "Old Town Road" singer even shared videos of him rollerblading, writing, "It's gonna take a lot more than that to keep a bad b*tch down," thus attempting to relax nerves surrounding his health issues.
This news follows the recent release of his compilation album titled Days Before Dreamboy that features eight tracks including the hit single "Hotbox," which has a cheeky, pink-themed music video to match.
