Ali Larter Embraces Sexualized Role as 'Landman' Nears Season 2 Production
Ali Larter opened up about embracing her bold role in Landman as Season 2 filming heats up with new cast additions and deeper drama.

Ali Larter is fully owning her bold portrayal of Angela Norris in Taylor Sheridan’s Paramount+ hit Landman—even as critics have called out the show’s portrayal of women as over-sexualized characters. In a candid chat with The Hollywood Reporter, the actor made it clear she’s comfortable in her skin and her character’s.
“Objectify me. C’mon,” she somewhat shockingly said in the interview. Larter emphasized that she would never do anything she found uncomfortable and praised Sheridan for writing women with complex, emotional arcs. The 49-year-old is making it clear that she's unfazed by any of the backlash.
With the first season concluding in January and shattering global streaming records (35 million views, the most-watched original on Paramount+), its second season was officially greenlit in March. Production began in April across Texas locales, including Fort Worth and Midland-Odessa. Larter recently revealed that they’re currently “midway through” filming Season 2. She described the experience as “easier now that we know these characters."
Notably, Oscar-nominee Sam Elliott has joined the cast as a series regular, set to collaborate with series lead Billy Bob Thornton. Demi Moore is also poised for a larger arc, with Larter teasing a special scene between Angela and Cami. Michelle Randolph, Jon Hamm, Kayla Wallace, and Jacob Lofland are also set to star in the new season.
Season 2 promises to intensify the high-stakes family and drama that defined the first season—with new power dynamics and deeper character development. Fans hungry for more Landman drama can expect a return later this year or early 2026 on Paramount+.
