Amazon Drops the Price of the Google Pixel 9 to a New Low for 2025

When it comes to iPhone alternatives, the Google Pixel line has consistently been one of our top picks. I purchased the Google Pixel 8 last year and have loved it so far. If you're in the market for a new Android phone, I would definitely recommend a Pixel. And with the current discount on the latest Google Pixel 9, its a great time to get one for pretty cheap.
Amazon has been dropping prices on these phones fairly consistently since they were first released last fall. The higher-end Pixel 9 Pro XL was on sale just last week and now the more affordable option is getting a similar price cut. With the 25% discount, you can get the new Google phone for just $599 at both Amazon and Best Buy.
The Best Google Pixel 9 Deal at Amazon Today
This deal is only available for three different color variants of the phone. Obsidian, Peony, and Porcelain colorways are all receiving the $200 discount while the Wintergreen version is $150 off. This is only the case for the 128GB phones, however. This is the overall best price we've seen on the Obsidian Google Pixel 9, but it's not the lowest the model has ever been. During Black Friday, we saw the Pixel 9 drop all the way down to $549 for the Peony and Wintergreen colors.
Some of the main reasons to buy a Pixel phone are for the camera and AI features. While you will get better overall performance from the Samsung Galaxy S25 or new OnePlus 13 smartphones, Pixels are known for being excellent camera phones. And with built-in AI features, you can easily edit your photos without having to upload them to a computer.

When Is the Next Line of Pixel Phones Coming Out?
If you are holding out for the next generation of Pixel phones to arrive before you make a purchase, you will still need to wait quite a while. Similar to this year, we expect Google to launch the Pixel 10 line sometime in August or early September. The new phones will usually come out a month or two before the new iPhones tend to release.
Knowing this, we will most likely see the biggest discounts on the Pixel 9 phones around Prime Day in July. While this is a great deal on the Pixel 9, it definitely isn't the lowest price the phone will drop to. You can likely expect another $50 or $100 to drop off the price right before the new Pixel 10 phones are released.
