Capcom will be livestreaming a Capcom Spotlight event highlighting upcoming news from its popular titles, including Street Fighter 6.
On Thursday, June 26th at 3 PM PST / 11 PM BST, there will be a 40-minute livestream that will include updates on existing games and upcoming Capcom titles, including developer interviews and other exclusive information.
Street Fighter 6 Players Await New Information at Capcom Spotlight
The Capcom Spotlight will feature titles like Monster Hunter Wilds, Resident Evil Requiem, Pragmata and Street Fighter 6. The FGC has already started speculating what may be showcased during the livestream, likely a closer look at Season 3.
Capcom recently announced the Season 3 DLC fighters, including Sagat, C. Viper, Alex and Ingrid. The first to be released is Sagat, who will be joining to the roster in summer 2025 — no specific date has been shared. Street Fighter 6 developers will likely showcase Sagat’s moveset and gameplay during the event. Another possibility is the reveal of Outfit 4 skins, also due to release this summer.
Sagat has been around since the first Street Fighter game, although he initially appeared as a boss that players couldn’t play as. He was originally M. Bison’s bodyguard but later changed his alliance to redeem himself. Known as the ‘Emperor of Muy Thai,’ Sagat has a zoning playstyle with a longer range due to his height. However, he is also a pretty easy target due to his size. Expect him to keep a lot of his signature moves in Street Fighter 6, like Tiger Shot and Tiger Uppercut.
C. Viper is coming in the fall of 2025, so she could also be highlighted during the Capcom Spotlight. Fans have expressed more curiosity about C. Viper, who hasn’t been playable since Street Fighter 4, than Sagat, who the FGC feels has been rehashed over and over with barely any changes.
In the past, C. Viper has been a rushdown character that was known to be quite technical to master due to her aggressive playstyle and mix-ups. Seismic Hammer would allow her to quickly close the distance and she could cancel a lot of her moves to turn them into super jumps for unexpected combos.
Many players are concerned that she will be watered down in Street Fighter 6, as the developers have often emphasised the importance of making the game more approachable for newcomers who are intimidated by higher skill ceilings.
