Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Parks Fest event is a cakewalk for returning players thanks to this quest item

Every passing year, Disney Dreamlight Valley introduces new and returning events to keep things fresh between major content updates. While Gameloft released the first version of the Dreamlight Parks Fest event in 2024, its 2025 edition has a secret feature that makes it easier to complete than usual: the Uncrafting Station. During the May Curiosity and Chaos update, the Disney Dreamlight Valley community got the chance to unlock Alice and the Cheshire Cat as villagers. During one of the Cheshire Cat's friendship quests, you're tasked with creating an Uncrafting Station that exchanges Dreamlight for raw materials required to make an item. It'll break down any furniture or small objects you insert into it and, after a short delay, return 100 percent of its resources to you. Screenshot by Destructoid Guess what? You can use this on event items, too. If you participated in Dreamlight Parks Fest 2024 and crafted all five popcorn buckets for it, you can toss them into the Uncrafting Station and receive their buttons. That way, you can recraft the bucket and turn it into your event quests to receive their newly added handheld versions. It takes around six minutes to uncraft each bucket, with three slots available at one time. If you have five on hand, you'll only need around 10 to 15 minutes and a few thousand Dreamlight to complete them all. I'd say that's a solid deal for eliminating hours of button collecting. However, this feature only works if you participated in last year's Dreamlight Parks event and have all five of its popcorn buckets available. If you weren't there for it or didn't make all five buckets, you'll have to partake in the usual grind of fishing, gathering flowers, and crafting to obtain the hundreds of buttons required to make each bucket. At the time of writing, it's unknown whether this is an intended feature on Gameloft's part to let the community break down old event items and reuse them to skip most of the button-collecting process. Sure, you'll still need to find extras for the Dug and Mine Cart popcorn buckets, but at least you'll only have to focus on two instead of seven. Either way, I'm not complaining. Disney Dreamlight Valley's Dreamlight Parks event is running from May 28 to June 17, giving you three weeks to uncraft your popcorn buckets, collect some extra buttons for the Dug and Mine Cart buckets, and collect every available reward.
