Fashion East Marks 25 Years With Its FW25 Designer Lineup

25 years in, Fashion East’s design incubator and its love for young underground fashion is still going strong. To celebrate the occasion, the program announced the three labels that will present at the upcoming FW25 London Fashion Week: Olly Shinder, Nuba World, and Louther. This season, the avant-garde incubator is pausing the rapid succession of the fashion week merry-go-round and giving its talents a chance to settle into the rhythm. For the first time in recent memory, there will be no change in the showcasing designers from the SS24 season. The steady lineup gives fashion fans a chance to savor the design synergy of these three designers before moving on too quickly to the next. Olly Shinder has quickly made a name for himself in the London crowd by reinvigorating technical wear with some of the subversive sex appeal from the city’s clubbing scene. Nuba World blends the young designer Cameron William’s African and London heritage with subtle draping that nods to the nuances of cultural differences. Louther, previously known as Loutre, utilizes Olympia Schiele’s photography and design background to build her edgy look’s visual narrative from the ground up, all while upcycling vintage pieces. Fashion East was initially founded in 2000 by industry icon Lulu Kennedy as a way to discover and nurture growing talents and release them into the fast-paced runways of London Fashion Week. Brands that have walked down the incubator’s stage in years past include Simone Rocha, Ancuta Sarca, Craig Green, Maximilian Davis, Martine Rose, Jonathan Anderson, and more. You can expect to see Fashion East’s runway on Friday, February 21 at 18:00 GMT. Simone Rocha will show on February 23, 16:00 (GMT) and Ancuta Sarca will present digitally on February 24, 13:45 (GMT). JW Anderson will uncharacteristically not be showing this London Fashion Week.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
