FaZe Clan has won the Six Invitational 2025 after defeating Team BDS 3-1 in yesterday’s Grand Final.
This marks the first time the esports organisation has secured the most prestigious trophy in Rainbow Six Siege (R6) esports.
R6’s biggest annual tournament took place from February 3rd to 16th at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway Park in Boston, U.S. The event saw 20 teams fight through a round-robin Group Stage, followed by a double-elimination Playoffs bracket in pursuit of a lion’s share of its $3m (~£2.4m) prize pool.
Being active in the game’s competitive scene for over nine years, FaZe was among the most anticipated teams of the 2025 Six Invitational. With its last S-Tier event victory coming in 2021 (Six Sweden Major), the organisation underwent a major restructuring three years ago.
Last year, FaZe fell short of securing its first Six Invitational title, suffering a 2-3 loss against fellow Brazilian roster w7w esports. Despite the devastating result, FaZe stuck with its 2024 roster to once again compete on R6’s largest international stage and, this time, walk away with the trophy.
FaZe Clan’s Six Invitational 2025 Run
Despite winning the event, FaZe only secured second place within its group, topped by w7m’s championship-winning roster, now under the FURIA banner.
The first Playoffs match against Spacestation immediately put FaZe in the lower bracket due to a 2-0 loss, meaning that the organisation had to travel the long road to the grand finals.
To remain in the tournament, FaZe Clan had to defeat Team Liquid (2-1) and Virtus.pro (2-1). The team then continued its lower-bracket run with a dominant rematch against Spacestation (2-0) and a victory over Unwanted (2-0). Finally, FaZe eliminated rival FURIA (2-0), advancing to the Grand Final.
On the other hand, Team BDS displayed dominant performances throughout the entire competition. Despite being number one and two in the Global Stadings, both Team BDS and FaZe Clan were searching for their first Six Invitational trophy.
After the first map, Chalet went to BDS, the remainder of the best-of-five (BO5) series was dominated by FaZe, who won on Consulate, Nighthaven Labs and Clubhouse.
According to esports data platform Esports Charts, 365,983 peak viewers witnessed FaZe make history and take home $1m (~£794,000) in prize money. This year’s Six Invitational has become the second-most popular iteration in the tournament’s history, only exceeded by its predecessor’s record-breaking 521,374 viewership.
