Floating Deck Build - Pier blocks or concrete footings?
I'm considering building a floating deck in the middle of this redwood Grove. The deck will by 20'x12' give or take and is on a bit of a slope. My initial plan was to pour concrete footings in sono tubes for durability and longevity but it seems almost everyone building floating decks just uses pier blocks. Even for decks on a slope. I have no problem taking the time to pour footings, just want to use the best method. Recommendations? How many pier blocks would be best to use? How many poured footings? submitted by /u/Quick-Wolf-6266 [link] [comments]
